After Busters recent success at the BMX track, and feeling sorry for him having to scamper up all the hills on his run bike, we bought him a new 12" BMX to have a play on.
He has been doing so well on his run bike we decided to do away with the stabilisers immediately and took him out for a spin today at the local park. After a few wobbles and minor tumbles he managed to do a good 30ft on his own before the rain stopped play. He seems to have the pedaling and balancing thing sorted though - so its off to the BMX track tomorrow where I am going to launch him down steep start hill and see how he gets on when he reaches the 20ft double jump.
Like Lisa keeps saying - yes, very good, shame its not golf he is good at.
All Buster cares about is that its red!
I'll get some YouTube video posted once he has a few tricks in the bag.

Congratulations Buster! Proud of you.

Looking forward to the YouTube videos - I'm guessing they'll be slightly more exciting than your dad's ones of him rolling down a hill over a curb-sized drop-off.

"Like Lisa keeps saying - yes, very good, shame its not golf he is good at. " - We've been saying the very same about you for years Paul.

You said that he's mastered the pedalling and balancing .......please make sure that he very soon master the BRAKING!! If he's anything like you were at that age, he'll need to know how to use them pretty soon.
He looks good on it, how he's grown, and his hair is a 100% improvement.

Toilet training is affirmative - I'm surprised there is so much interest but wet and solid waste is now under control during the day and night.

Why are you so interested John - any news you want to share?

Nice bike! We just bought 10 just like that for school and the kids love them. Ours must be a bit cheaper because the pedals keep flying off and only one of the stabilisers touches the ground at a time.
Steve, don't you normally say you have no right to be proud of something you had nothing to do with??! drumhead.

hee hee...its all coming back to me now Paul. Remember the canal, you showing off on your BMX, you in the canal, you coming home wet and having a tantrum when we all laughed at you...those were the days!! Ehh the stories I'll be able to tell Buster xx

Don't remind me - what was worse is that Mum had got me dressed up in my best toggs because we were off out for a meal. As I remember these were some slip on white shoes, stone wash stretch to fit denim jeans and a matching white and denim jacket. Combine that with my Sun-In bleached flat top and I must have looked like a mix between Vanilla Ice and John Paul Gaultier! I'm surprised the fishermen didn't beat me up before I threw myself into the canal! The shame.

Oh! Memories, Memories, what a laugh we've had this morning,.....thanks for that, you two, we'd forgotten that 'Minor' incident (one of so very many). I recall that we, Dad and I, were, as you say, all spic and span ready to go out for a Treat!! We were lounging at the top of the garden in our sunchairs, it was a lovely early evening, ...never a dull moment with you three! How could we NOT laugh at the sight of you? No wonder we are (i) bald and (ii) what's left is grey!

The best bit was Paul pretending that nothing had happend even though he was soaking wet and had a fish stuck in his flat top!! The shame bit is that Vanilla Ice had been out of fashion for a good 3 years before you took the look up!!.....Vanilla Ice Ice baby!! xxx
